Becker and the biscuit thieves
Becker sighed as he put the kettle on. He’d spent the past hour explaining to Lester how a prehistoric wolf had managed to sneak past his men, out of the leisure centre’s badminton hall where the anomaly was, and into the pool area where it had proceeded to terrorise an old age pensioners’ water aerobics class.
Making his tea, he opened the biscuit barrel, looking forward to the chocolate digestives he’d brought in this morning but it was empty, just a few crumbs in the bottom. He swore. Across the room, two of his men looked up guiltily.
