When they arrived, Becker didn’t get out of the car, just stared at the anomaly through the window.
“I’m getting weary of this,” he said. “We catch the creatures, lock the anomaly, but what good does it do? Another one opens and we’re back to square one. I’m tired of all the hurt and chaos and losing friends to these things.”
Matt nodded. “I know, but if we weren’t here it would be worse. These creatures would do more damage.” He opened the door. “Coming?”
Becker reluctantly got out of the car. They had a job to do, after all.
