“Are you sure you want to do this?” Abby asked.

Connor nodded. “I want to get him something nice and I can’t afford it any other way.” He looked at the limited edition Chewbacca figurine in his hand. “Besides, it’s just a toy.”

He could see that Abby wasn’t convinced.

The tickets to see Madame Butterfly were a hit; Lester was delighted, informing Connor that this was the best birthday he’d had.

Two days later, Connor walked into the room to see Chewbacca standing on the shelf, along with a little note.
