2 Drabbles: Neanderthal / Aftermath

Fandom: Primeval
Notes: For primeval100: challenge 431: Past prompts.

Pairing: None
Using past prompt: 384 - Neanderthal

Jess heard the wolf-whistle and lewd comment as she and Abby walked past the building site. A man in a fluorescent vest leaned over the scaffolding, clearly trying to see down her top.

“What, you’ve never seen a woman before?” she shouted back. “Or more likely they won’t come near you with a barge pole and so you resort to this Neanderthal behaviour.” She paused, reconsidering. “Then again, I’m probably insulting Neanderthals; I bet even they had better manners than you!”

As they walked away, Abby heard a couple of the other builders applauding, obviously sharing her opinion of him.

Pairing: Connor / Lester
Using past prompt: 430 - The Cretaceous

Lester was startled from his sleep by Connor’s tossing and turning. He’d been having these nightmares since returning from his time trapped in the Cretaceous.

“Connor? Wake up.” Lester shook him gently.

Connor’s eyes opened and he looked disorientated for a moment.

“Yes, love. I’m here.”

Connor sighed. “I was there again, but this time when I came home everyone had forgotten about me.”

“I’d never forget you,” Lester assured him. “And I’d never stop searching for you.”

“You promise?”

“I promise.”

Connor smiled, cuddling up to Lester. “I love you.”

“Love you too. Now, go back to sleep.”
