He really didn’t want to hurt Matt’s feelings; he looked so proud of the muffins he’d made. The trouble was that muffins weren’t supposed to be that chewy. And they certainly weren’t supposed to bounce if you dropped them. Even Moss rejected the piece he’d been given before running away to hide in his basket and the wolf would eat just about anything.
“I think I’ll take some into the ARC tomorrow for the others,” Matt said, oblivious to Becker’s grimace.
Maybe can use them as weapons, Becker thought, biting back a laugh as the idea drifted through his mind.

Matt is trying and I hope the rest of the ARC turn out to be as tactful as Becker (or as skilled in hiding as Moss).
