“Since you can’t be bothered to let me know you’re all unhurt upon returning,” Lester began snippily, “I had to come and find out for myself.”
“We’re fine,” Connor mumbled from under the shower spray.
Becker never stopped soaping his hair as he spoke. “The anomaly’s closed, the critter is back where it belongs, but it left a few friends behind.”
“Meaning?”
“The sodding thing had fleas and decided to share them with us!” Matt informed him.
