Signs







“Say that again?”

“I’ve given up chocolate,” Jess repeated. “Why is that so hard to believe?”

“Because you’re a chocoholic. Just last week I watched you quite literally fight Abby for the last chocolate digestive in the break room.”

Jess tried to deny it but Becker nodded, watching as Connor went to the window and peered out.

“What are you looking for?”

Connor turned. “Rain of toads or a swarm of locusts,” he said. “’Cos I’m sure that Jess giving up chocolate is one of the signs of the apolcalypse.”

He ducked as Jess threw a well-aimed pen at him.
