Abby, Connor and Jess stood outside the office, watching. Through the glass walls of Lester’s office, they could see the man himself pacing behind his desk. Though the words were muffled, Lester’s tone and gestures showed how angry he was.
In front of the desk, Becker and Matt stood calmly enduring it. Occasionally, they’d try to say something but Lester silenced them with a glare, barely pausing in his rant.
“Wow, he’s really cross.”
“The minister called him,” Jess said. “He’s rather upset about his Bentley.”
“They couldn’t stop the t-rex standing on it!”
“I don’t think the minister agrees.”
