Seventeen hours; that was how long they’d been stuck on top of this rock. Below them, a herd of something-a-sauruses prowled hungrily. With nothing else to do, Becker had been throwing stones at them in the hope they’d bugger off.
“The sunset’s pretty,” Connor pointed out, looking up at the blue and pink sky.
“It is,” Becker agreed, adding, “but soon it’ll be dark.”
Connor sighed. “You’re just a ray of sunshine, aren’t you?”
“I try.” Becker glanced at his watch; another five hours until the anomaly was due to reappear.
Bored, he lobbed another stone at the dinosaurs below.
