Connor and Becker leaned forward to get a better look as Becker peeled Matt’s shirt and jacket back carefully, Connor’s face paling.

“Eww! Is it supposed to look like that?”

On the ground in front of them, Matt let out an involuntary whimper as Becker touched his shoulder carefully.

“It’s dislocated,” Becker said. “Must be from colliding with the tree. I can put it back, or wait for an ambulance.”

At Matt’s nod, the pair helped him up, Connor holding him still as Becker got a grip on Matt’s arm.

“Sorry; this is going to hurt. Okay, three, two, one…”
