Notes: For primeval100: challenge 244: You stay, I stay
You stay, I stay
“Time to go,” Connor said, strolling into Lester’s office. Seeing the reports in his hands, he frowned. “You’re not ready?”
“Connor, I have to finish this. You go home and I’ll follow you soon.”
For a moment, there was silence and Lester glanced up, thinking that Connor was leaving. Instead, he dropped down into the chair at the other side of the desk.
“Fine. If you stay, I stay.”
After ten minutes of Connor fidgeting, talking, humming along with his ipod, or laughing as he read his emails, Lester sighed.
“Okay; I’ll do this tomorrow,” he relented. “Let’s go home.”
