Proof

Connor hadn't even stepped through the anomaly when Matt almost knocked him down as he fled back the way they’d just come. Becker was no more than a pace behind him, grabbing Connor’s arm as he passed, pushing him away from the anomaly.

There was a noise like thunder, only deafeningly loud, which cut off abruptly when Matt locked the anomaly and sank to the floor in relief.

“What the hell happened?” Connor demanded, annoyed at being pushed around.

“I think we just proved the ‘a meteor wiped out the dinosaurs’ theory,” Becker informed him, sitting down next to Matt.

Oooohh, a close call indeed! But why do I get the feeling that Connor would be disappointed at not having had a good look at it ^_^

Yikes! A few more seconds and they would have been extinct, too. Nicely done.

Great plotting! What a pity they won't be able to publish the findings.
