Drabble: War

Notes: For primeval100: challenge 365: Revenge.





War







Lester thought he could trust the pair of them to sort out their argument like adults.

When Becker found his boots full of shaving foam, he assured Lester that it was harmless, merely revenge for the fact he’d laced Matt’s coffee with laxative the day before.

When Matt’s chair was tampered with, making it collapse the moment he sat down, he said it was payback for him hiding Becker’s favourite gun that morning. Becker still hadn’t found it.

As neither Matt nor Becker showed signs of surrender and the childish pranks continued, Lester realised he’d given them too much credit.
