Hunters instinct

They hurried to the kitchen when Moss started growling.

“What’s up with him?” Matt asked.

Becker glanced out of the window for signs of intruders. “No idea. I can’t see anything.”

Just then, Moss let out a delighted woof, pouncing on the big black spider that had made a break for freedom from its hiding place under the fridge. Batting it with his paw, he looked disappointed when it stopped moving. He gave it a lick before gagging, spitting it out again.

“That’s disgusting,” Matt commented as Becker collected the dead spider in a tissue and threw in the bin.

Oh dear, poor spider.

It's an uphill struggle to stop my dogs doing that.

One of our dogs used to do this- he always looked baffled when they stopped running!

Same here! Having something around to catch spiders would be great.

*g* it really is. One of our dogs used to do this- bat the spider until it stopped, then pick it up and spit it out. It made me shudder every time!

LOL and oops - a friend said her cat would do something similar (without the licking) and then have an attitude like "Fix mah new toy! Mah new toy broke!"

Lol - and ew! My cats regularly chew on insects it's completely horrid. Becker and Matt will have to teach Moss to swallow...

Our dog used to do it- he once tried to eat a butterfly. He got this surprised look on his face when it moved, opened his mouth and the butterfly flew out!

Gross as it may be, it's better than a spider running around!

I do so love Moss but killing spiders? :(

Still, wonderful reading Ebs! I still kick myself for not keeping up with all this!
